Financial Aid

Classified Grant

Have you worked as a Classified Employee for a local public school/district (e.g. Instructional Assistant, Paraprofessional, etc. Note: a teacher substitute does not qualify)? You may be eligible for grant funding to reduce your tuition to the SCOE Intern Program by $4,000 per year. This grant was created with the belief that those who already work full time in our public school community would make the strongest teachers. If you are interested in the Classified Grant, please contact Dr. Jaime Bonato at jbonato@scoe.net. Information about this grant can also be seen in this informational video recording.

Student Loans

The SOE is not a Regionally Accredited institution and, therefore, does not qualify to offer Federal Student Financial Aid (FAFSA); however, County Office of Education tuition costs are considerably less than most universities, so it is important to research the best fit for each applicant. The SOE has a partnership with SchoolsFirst Credit Union and Sallie Mae. Applicants are encouraged to apply well in advance of starting the Intern program but may require a letter of acceptance from SOE in order to confirm program acceptance for final disbursement of funds.
